Dr. Robert E. Vadas, associate professor of teacher education at SUNY Potsdam, had his book, The Vietnam War: Cultures in Conflict, published recently. The book educates its readers through a historical overview of the events leading up to the war, and through to its end in 1975.

First Presbyterian Church holds public organ recital
The historic First Presbyterian Church, situated on the corner of Ford and Franklin Streets in Ogdensburg, will rededicate its recently refurbished pipe organ with a public recital on Friday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. The recital will feature organist Will Headlee, Professor emeritus and University Organist emeritus at Syracuse University.

"Piggyback Art" on view at SLU

"Piggyback" works by self-taught E-bay artist Eddie Breen will be on exhibition in the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawerence University from November 7 through December 20. Classical Indian music at SLU

A concert of classical Indian music by singer Rashimi Venkateswaran will be presented at St. Lawerence University on Saturday, November 2, at 8 p.m. in the Gilbert Recital Hall, Griffiths Arts Center. The event is open to the public, free of charge. Venkateswaran is the manager of the University of Ottawa's chemistry teaching laboratories, but on many evenings she can be found singing classical southern Indian music at various venues in the Ottawa region.

Crane School of Music professor joins internationally acclaimed saxophone quartet

Dr. Timothy McAllister, assistant professor of music at The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, has been named to the soprano saxophone seat in the PRISM Quartet. The PRISM Quartet, in its 18th season, has been internationally acclaimed for the group's widely varied performances in their own recitals and in collaborations with orchestras and jazz and concert artists.

Russian student exhibiting artwork at Saint Lawrence

A Boy and His Agenda, an exhibition of work by St. Lawrence University senior Alexei S. Boulokhov, will be in the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery on campus from November 7 through December 20. It includes images, installations, and performance artworks that attempt to challenge the conventions of representing sexual orientation.

Mystery Dinner Theatre at Creative Spirit Center

On Tuesday, November 5, The Grasse River Players will present an evening of mystery theatre entitled Death of a Cloud Painter at the Creative Spirit Art Center. A cadre of characters will tell their stories and give their alibi, and desperately try to convey their innocence.

Steve Caudette was a definate master of sound effects and impressions. His most repeated impression was that of his beloved, Spanish/Portugese/Russsian, girfriend.

Yet again the actors from the Shenandoah Shakespeare Express graced the North Country with another stupendous acting troupe. The Beguile the Rich troupe performed MacBeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Love's Labour's Lost at St. Lawrence University in Lee Hall.
