Freshmen Jessica Cloutier and Brooke Beazer both had the best games of their young collegiate careers as Clarkson defeated Union College on Sunday, October 17. Cloutier exploded in the second period and notched two goals and an assist to morph a 0-0 tie into a 3-0 Clarkson advantage that would prove too difficult for the Dutchwomen to overcome.

The Men's Golden Knights took on the Western Ontario Mustangs in an exhibition hockey match on Thursday before a sparser than normal crowd at Cheel Arena. However, there was no lack of game on the ice, as the Golden Knights dominated by picking up their second win in a row, 4-2.

On Sunday, October 17, the Clarkson Men's Golden Knights hockey team finished their road trip against the Wayne State Warriors. Although close into the third period, the Golden Knights were better able to use even-man advantage to pull off the 5-3 win.
Clarkson scored four of five goals on five-on-five play, including Grant Clitsome's first collegiate goal at 5:54 in the third period.

For the second time in twenty-four hours, the Wayne State Warriors rallied to score a late third period goal in order to force a tie with the Women's Golden Knights on Saturday in Cheel Arena. Clarkson, which gave up a game-tying goal to the Warriors Friday night with just over two minutes to play in the third, found themselves up 3-2 with only a few minutes to play.

Sixty-Five minutes was not enough time to separate the Golden Knights and the Warriors as they played to a 4-4 tie in a wild contest at Cheel Arena. Laura Monk and Kristi Thome stringed together a few nice passes and Kristy Leng was the beneficiary as she put home the equalizer with under three minutes to play in regulation.

On Wednesday, during the Clarkson University Bowling Club's weekly league at Market Lanes in Potsdam, senior Curt Wheeler attained the highest score possible in bowling. During the first game, Wheeler bowled the twelve strikes needed to capture his first 300.

Sophomore Claire Horvath recorded seventeen kills, twenty-one digs and four aces as the Clarkson University Volleyball team downed Potsdam State in four games, 32-30, 30-16, 23-30, 30-25, in a non-league match Tuesday evening at Alumni Gymnasium. The Golden Knights improved to 19-9 overall with their fourth straight win and Potsdam fell to 8-15.

Senior Shannon Kentner recorded thirteen kills, four aces and three blocks as the Clarkson University Volleyball team picked up its twentieth win of the season with a 3-0 sweep of Saint Lawrence University Saturday afternoon.
Clarkson improved to 20-9 overall with their fifth straight win and ninth win in their last ten matches.

The Golden Knights moved to 4-10 and close out the Liberty League schedule this weekend when they visit Hobart and Hamilton.

In the final conference game of the regular season, Kristine Cupertino had a shot squirt past the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team's defense with just 3:43 remaining in the second overtime as Hamilton, squeaked past the Golden Knights 1-0 in a Liberty League game Saturday afternoon at Clarkson Field.
