Clarkson's student-run Outing Club (CUOC) has something for everyone. A vast majority of students at Clarkson have gone hiking, camping, or have managed to survive in a canoe, rowboat, or kayak at some point in their lives. These activities are the reason for the variety of activities that the Outing Club engages in.

Sigma Phi Epsilon, commonly referred to as Sig Ep, is the youngest fraternity at Clarkson, chartered on April 7, 2002. Sigma Phi Epsilon is a national fraternity founded November 1 in Richmond, Virginia, and in fact has grown to become the largest national fraternity with 250 chapters.
A night outdoors helps teens understand the homeless

55 temporarily homeless teenagers huddled against the cold in cardboard huts on the grounds of Paramus Catholic High School on Sunday night. The teens were homeless by choice to show support for those who have no choice but to be homeless.
The outdoor sleepover is intended to increase the students' empathy for the less fortunate.
