Big D and the Kids Table as an opening band drew mixed reviews; personally, I enjoyed their mix of genres offered up. "I've seen a lot of great opening bands, and this wasn't one of them," said Will Kinsman, a freshman. I happen to think they did well to engage the crowd and warm up the audience's moshing and crowd surfing talents.

After completing their sets, it was time for Dropkick Murphys. Some of the song highlights in the main show included "Black Velvet Band," "Which Side are You On," and "Amazing Grace." Our photographer appreciated the freshmen that willfully donated themselves as tripods. I also found it amusing that about half way through the show, someone had decided to smoke a joint, contributing further to a partially drunken chaos.

Dropkick Murphys finished up with "Kiss me I'm Shitfaced." As an encore they played "Shipping Up to Boston," "Boys on the Docks," and invited part of the crowd onstage for the last song. The show was true Dropkick Murphys, loud, bone jarring instrumentals and gravelly vocals in front of enthusiastic fans.
