As almost a response to Springfest, 91.1 WTSC proposed that CUOC hold several laid back activities and competitions on Cheel lawn during the day. The Source provided tunes and exciting competitors.
The event, slated to start at 11am was held off by over an hour seeing as the organizer had taken sick and Aramark had not delivered the food promised earlier. Despite all this, the weather prevailed without a cloud in the sky.
The bicycle race, two laps around CAMP, was very exciting. Contestants brought every kind of bicycle, from black diamond bikes to downhill, cross-country, and road bikes. The highlight of the race certainly when Nick Rubel completely distorted the front rim of the bike he had borrowed. Rubel had shifted in to top gear and did not manage to evade a particularly tricky lamppost.
One of the more interesting events was the Twister board mounted on a climbing wall, which the participants mounted in twos, attempting to outdo each other in contorting one another on the 5'x7' climbing wall attached to a tree. Slacklining was held outside of Bene Pizzeria, where some people learned to balance on a slack piece of webbing for the first time.
Games of frisbee and volleyball were also included in the event.
