Honors HP200

Each year, the sophomore honors class examines an emerging problem in society and sets out to develop a set of solutions or recommendations based on findings throughout the fall semester.
Quite frequently, these projects emerge from a need or issue at Clarkson University or in the Potsdam community. Recently, one of the major areas of focus of the HP200 course has been sustainable development. With Clarkson's desire to become a greener and more sustainable campus and the
construction of a new Student Center, this year's Honors class was presented with a challenge from President Collins: to develop a way to bring the new Student Center online in an energy neutral fashion.
The HP200 class has spent this semester seeking ways to offset the energy cost of the new Student Center and will be presenting its findings on Wednesday, December 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Bertrand H. Snell Room 213. The presentation is open to the community and anyone who wishes to attend is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
