At 8:57 in the first period, senior forward Dominique Thibault opened the scoring with Clarkson's first and only goal of the night. Thibault was unassisted.
Rensselaer senior Allysen Weidner tied the game with a goal at 10:59 in the first period. Weidner was assisted by defenseman Laura Gersten. Junior Sydney O'Keefe scored another for the Engineers at 19:11 to take the lead. O'Keefe was assisted by freshman defenseman Andie Le Donne and sophomore forward Jill Vandegrift.
Senior forward Allison Wright scored the final goal for the Engineers at 2:33 in the second period. Wright was assisted by Le Donne and senior Whitney Naslund.
Rensselaer defenseman Katie Daniels was called for interference after it seemed she had plowed Clarkson forward Brittany Mulligan into the goal post. Mulligan was injured in the process, and was helped off the ice by her teammates. Mulligan's injury is believed to be her MCL and will be unable to play for several weeks, however it is expected that she will be back in time for the NCAA tournament.
Junior goaltender Lauren Dahm posted 24 saves after missing the game versus St. Lawrence on Tuesday due to illness. Rensselaer goaltender Sonja van der Bliek posted 18 saves.
